I usually assemble one massive session out of the clips from all my tracks I want to play, so I can mix and match parts from all my songs to do "live remixes". It can get pretty processor-intensive, though, so I have to make sure I have everything running really well.

Gating should solve that problem. Make sure you set the release on the gate long enough that you still maintain the reverb tail, and the threshold just low enough that it cuts out the hiss and no lower.

Exactly what "annoying noise" are we talking about here? Hiss of some sort? If that's the case, you need to put a gate after your reverb.
