Hi im trying to figure out how to make a bassy percussive sound like those you can hear in tides carl craig rmx or in villalobos - amazordrum right in the drum loop at the beginning. I think it has something to do with filter automation but i cant figure out how to do... Someone has any suggestions?...

Tape 808 sample pack, battery 3, lot of pitch processing with plugins, compression and eqing of single hits, then i record the sound out of my mixer to give it some hardware feel and finally i gently compress the final loop
