Minimal China

Post by Narcisse2 »

I'm going to Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai. Could you tell me what are the clubs/venues/promoters to look for ? If not minimal, any electronic music (dubstep, breakbeat, techno, house, etc) will suffice

Thank you!

That's about the only club in Hong Kong which regularly plays Techno and House: http://yumla.com/ - but worth checking out, nice crowd although the place is quite small.

For Shangaï, have a look on this :

L18, Bund, Pavillon de Costes and The Shelter.

mash up electro style...
with a mnml line-up...
Have fun 8)

It would be interesting to have some news about your experience. ;)

Yeah, there's not much really in HK i'm afraid - Yumla is about it sadly.
Sometimes you can randomly walk into a bar and club and it's really good - but mostly it's cheesy house, trance or RnB.

If your out this weekend Digweed is playing, but then again that's not minimal :)

erdbeerschnitzel - Are you in HK?

Really? Went to see Sasha there the other week and the venue (the same one) was appalling. Far too big, had to be right down the front to hear the music properly, over priced (door and drinks) ... also no one dancing , everyone just kind of posing
