sometimes i'm still baffled how he went from so insanely good to so insanely boring in the matter of like two years.

I think Hawtin is still one of the best. I heard him at Electric Zoo festival in New York. He fukn destroyed it. This dude told me he hadn't danced the entire festival and he heard Hawtin for 15 minutes and started dancin. Also heard him a few months ago at Love in NYC. Mad fukn fresh. The sound he produces is so fukn fresh. I began gettin discouraged because of so many ppl sayn he isn't as good anymore (I never thought so). I've been listening to him since like 1999. 1st time I heard him was in 1994 at a rave underneath the Brooklyn bridge on the Brooklyn side. Although, I didnt' realize what was goin on back then. But I still like his performances.

I have to say i agree with the general consensus, he is really boring...seen him last month at amnesia and I listened to like the first 5 tunes an left him to go on the terrace for magda... Its like hes ran out of Ideas!! :(

Oh an magda wasnt boring she rocked it with sum crazy, weird, minimal funk all night long!
Beethovan acknowledged the visionary qualities of his music, saying those who understand it are freed from the miseries which others drag around with them....

Maybe the expectations are to high. Are you hoping for every set to be a new DE9 Transitions or something? ;)
