great topic... these days i m tottaly into the roots of minimalism:)
somehow in all the mad "noise" you found unbelievable fields of inspiration it puts you into another dimension tottaly ....sooo intense pieces of work that give you a chance to operate in huge landscape .....not just musical ...when you heard pieces that make you feel overwhelmed it s simple WOW ..thats the shi*...
La Monte Young & JON HASSEL were one of his students and as i found out Stefan Goldmann s father too ....
Jon Hassel himself is huge musicians and very influental persona...
Brian Eno used to say that he owe a lot to Hassel and that a lot of people owe a lot to Jon. It is same thing whit Stockhausen who was also one of Brian Eno influence ... Brian Eno one great mamal is huge influence so...

it s impossible to mention Stockhausen whitout mentioning all those freaks ...they all floating together

well there are much worst things then dying ...
so i do not find this shocking at all ,he was old man ,he gave the best to this world of music ...!!!!!!!!!
it s up to us to explore so instead of those sad faces and r.i.p thing well about him there is certainly much ...much...much more to say ...to express....
