RDJ's new album drops on the 22nd of sept. (my birthday, hihi)
You've probably seen all the hype over the internet from the last couple of days, with the blimp and the website and all that. Some pranksters even uploaded fake tracks claiming it's the leaked album. Finally there is official info and i'm really curious about it. No samples yet, but hey, it's the twin.
Would like to pre order it from bleep, but hopefully it's going to appear in records stores in Europe as well.
Funny thing: the cover of the album is a list with all the costs that went in to making the record.

well, it is well known that he is a major prankster and a compulsive liar in interviews, but the list of costs might have some veracity about it: http://www.gigwise.com/news/93979/aphex ... k-for-syro

180db sounds very playable in a house or techno set if you're if you have enough balls.
great album altogether.

sure, if you prefer to play big room trance that sounds like 1999... I guess you'd have to be into that sort of thing. that has nothing to do with "having balls".
I think part of there success back in the late 90's/2000 was releasing weird music on a commercial level, before people could get their hands on any to the masses.
way more intricate and werider music being release on a much larger scale since then by everyone else. I don't think they could never be introduced to the masses like they were back then..
listen to about 5 tracks out of curiosity. this album doesn't seem weird, new or intricate...feels like a, "hey let's do an album and make some more money" type gig/feel to me.
nothing close to the tlc magic they put into their music way back when...for me anyways..
