<b>Airdrop</b> starts off the year right with a gritty floor sweepin' three-piece-EP by <b>John Spring</b>
It's in Berlin that <b>John Spring</b> started building his studio in the mid 90's. Between then and now, he presented many successful releases on <b>Crosstown Rebels</b>, <b>Resopal</b> or <b>Harthouse</b>, licencing his productions to heavyweight compilations on <b>Cocoon</b>, <b>DC10</b> and <b>Four:Twenty</b>.
Mr. Spring is also best known for producing a string of records released over the last 8 years on Falko Brocksieper's seminal label <b>Sub-Static</b>. On these, he developed very intricate and original forms in Techno.
Recently, the man has also been making some major waves as part of an anonymous Berlin collective. Along with his two partners, he creates special blends of deep soul techno. you should already know which project we are talking about...
It is with great pleasure that we announce this <b>Benzo EP</b>, for Airdrop's magical number AD 018. The record opens with <b>Playing No More Games</b>, with its old school samples and structure, already set to make some serious floor damage.
The title track, <b>Benzo</b> brings things down a notch, featuring heavy filters and hat action. Hands down, <b>Drummachines</b> and its libidinous basslines wins the grit-cup!
