i'm thinking of grabbing a 8/12 channel mixing desk and the soundcraft M12's look half decent, however i've noticed quite a few popping up on ebay as broken which has led me to think they maybe unreliable or a bad batch released?
they seem to be power supply problems or the direct outs failing from a few google searches, has anyone got experience with these desks? i wont be buying new but im thinking of grabbing a secondhand one soon but its got me thinking twice after seeing so many broke ones appearing on ebay now, any input or suggestions for different desks would be ideal cheers.

The soundcrafts are ok´ish but i prefer Mackie when it comes to quality and feel... i would try to get a used one over Ebay, something like a 1402 maybe... the Soundcraft pots feel pretty sh!t imho, faders are ok though

ive just got myself a soundcraft series 200, however ive been scratching my head over it. i didnt think a mixing desk would be baffle me so much.
for some reason my individual pans on my channel strips dont do anything, however on my aux's the panning seems to work no problem provided the pfl switch aint pushed in? but on the individual channels i cant seem to get it working at all.
when i have afl pressed in one of the aux dials, my pan control on my individual channel when turned left decreases the volume and acts like a volume control, it doesnt pan does anyone know what im doing wrong? the desk is in absolutely mint condition so im pretty convinced its me being a complete tool, if someone could give me some advice would be greatly appreciated!
