Maschine + Korg ESX...?

Post by dubgil »

would having both be too redundant?
I have a KORG ESX, which I don't use enough, but I'm pegged to do so after a forum member name dropped Paul Frick (i've been online all day in awe)

anyway, I've also become extremely interested in NI Maschine.
I'm worried if I do buy Maschine I may disregard the ESX all over again..

(I know a silly question as personal tastes differ amongst us all)
maybe some of you have owned/used both pieces...

I appreciate your feedback.

Thank you

stick with the ESX for a bit. try making a few track just using the ESX and your DAW for multi-tracking and editing. if you don't see it's potential after a few finished tunes then you probably never will.

Stick with your ESX... Give it a try like Tone-Def says and make some tracks.

I own a ESX a year ago but never get it into my workflow. Sm cards sucks, but now using it more and more! :) loving it!

Maybe i will buy a Maschine soon...great machine too!

well if you do, let me know what you think about the differences

meanwhile, in case you didn't know, there's a new ESX sample organizer

http://www.skratchdot.com/projects/open ... be-editor/ it makes using the SM card a LOT easier, you create the entire project and then save to SM card and load in one shot

Sure, i will let you know. :)

There´s a lot of bugs in the OSX version.. Sometimes works well, other don´t work at all. btw right now i´m using an old windows pc to get the job done. much easier! ;)

@MagpieIndustries

I have the same problems when try to import samples and create a new .ESX file. Hope they get this fixed soon.. :?
