I work for the Government advising the public sector on Sustainable Purchasing, very boring civil service stuff but pays the bills and has very flexible hours so gives me plenty of spare time.

Worst job I did was selling domain names. I turned up on the Monday morning, was given a page ripped out of the Yellow Pages and told to contact every company on it trying to scare the companies into buying a domain name. You were expected to tell them that once the domain name using their companies name was gone they wouldnt be able to have a web presence in the future, then scare them into buying all variations .com .co.uk .org .net etc. I did 1 day and never went back, it was proper dodgy stuff and the guy who started it went to prison.

yay for the postal section.

did it as a temp for a while. it was kind of awesome I suppose.

i remember getting shouted at a lot by the general public and always failing miserably at finishing a round. possibly cos it was a bit too tempting to just go home for a while if I was ever near my house.

good honest job.
