This is just for the major reccord companies though. Lots of people are now going out and buying vinyl, its just a shame these people are not into good quality dance music.

Would be good if sales did rise for dance music, but I cant see it happening. The way people look at things has changed. When I first started djing vinyl was the only way to go, now there are more options.

the new price's for vinyl is the big solution (4-7 euro piece)
A legal mp3 download +-1.40 euro for one track
record 2 up to 5 tracks (both side's)
The vinyl is the best , that keep's up his value or go up.
Is Better quality and solid (now crash like virus )
And is much more HOT

I think vinyl, on all levels (commercial and underground) has endured the digital storm. From this point forward it will only get better for both. As well, I've talked with numerous DJs that went digital, and have since come back to vinyl. It's worth it.

My only real problem with vinyl is having to do mail order. Tracks come out so frequently that by the time my shipment arrives, all of the artists on the records have newer stuff out. It was my main reason for getting Serato.

If I lived in a major city with a record store, I would probably still be all-vinyl.

äm Vinyl in Europe ships in 1-3 days, i dont think producers release so often

and i dont think its slower in the USA

I suspect that vinyl has probably reached a new "steady state" equilibrium, where the vast majority of the flight to digital has already occurred as well as the majority of new DJs starting on digital... what is left now are the connaisseurs, the people like me who still just dig it for a variety of personal reasons. The good news, I think, is that those people are not going to go away anytime soon...I think a sizable niche market will remain.
