[uk] 20.02.2009 runsounds w Patrice Scott (Sistrum / Yore)

Post by run »

Mark your calendars for Friday the 20th of February as we have a very special treat lined up for you: Detroit's Patrice Scott. Even though Patrice has been plying his trade as a renowned dj for many years in his hometown of Detroit, it is his record label, Sistrum Recordings and his super deep & sublime productions that have fascinated the ears of the rest of the world. He has already had the honour of playing room3 and the lounge at Fabric and The End respectively but we are stoked beyond belief to be able to bring him over as the main headliner of the night.

20.02.2009

Patrice Scott (Sistrum / Yore – Detroit)
Alex Fisher (runsounds, After Dinner)
Russell Skellon (runsounds, Motronic)
Chris Box (runsounds, rungrooves, Netaudio London)

11pm - 6am
Stoke Newington location
£8 / £10

In our never ending quest to scope out original and alternative spaces to throw a party we have a stumbled across the perfect basement space with low ceilings, an underground vibe and a north / east London location. This is set to be a free spirited and intimate affair in true run style and will be an exclusive date for Patrice in the UK so keep checking your emails (or sign up to the mailing list) to get details on how to get hold of tickets and to find out just where the action will be taking place!

Alex Fisher will also be treating us to a liveset and a full biog for Patrice is now up online!

"Patrice Scott is one of Detroit’s up and coming producers of deep house and techno music. Substance, quality, and diversity are the driving forces behind this artist who has touched the world by storm in the early stages of his career. P. Scott has a fascination and desire to be anything but the norm. This fascination began in 1983 in Detroit, Michigan at the age of 13 while attending a neighborhood party by a local Detroit group who went by the name Sharevari. It was at this time that P. Scott received his first lesson and exposure to what was then called progressive music."
