Hey folks..
Looking to develop a custom MIDI control interface..
I've been looking into Doepfer... I love his work, but if I can do something on my own, granting me both a learning experience AND saving several hundreds or even thousands of dollars, I'd love to.
I haven't done electronics work since high school electronics class, so you can assume I'm a complete idiot and would need a guide or instructions FOR the complete idiot. Estimated costs, where to get stuff, basically everything... where can I find it? Where should I start?
I'd also consider contracting someone if the rates were reasonable but I'm real curious about making my own though.
Here's what I'm looking to do:
Essentials:
-16 groups of 4 or 5 knobs
-a corresponding slider for each group of 4 or 5 knobs (16 total)
Optional/extra:
-16 buttons with toggle on/off led
-assorted push buttons for triggering various events via midi.
