Minimal vs. Downtempo ???
So what...is there a definite line that distincts the two from each other? Or are they pretty much one and the same??? Just throwing it out there...lemme know what you think.

minimal has it's own sphere with a specifict tempo range, whilst downtempo (some people call it lounge) is more relaxed and slower. the main characteristic is that the beat isn't always 4/4 but like in a band.

- here's a little preview from two of my favourite downtempo bands "fragile state" and " zero 7" u'll get the picture once you hear the samples! i'm high on downtempo for years now and slowly collecting quality artists. actually, a rock or jazz band could play something relaxed and it could be easily downtempo.
