I suppose that does speak for itself.. I was going to ask that as well.. in regards to the warranty..

as with a lot of things you get what you pay for.. and if one spends 200 and a year or two later its trashed... I suppose your break even point would be 4-8 years...

those are the ones I posted and yes they should work for carry on. they were designed for that purpose. I haven't yet, but may be moving forward with one or two of those very soon.

definitely do not check either of those. they're about as cheaply made as you can possibly get, with thin plastic-y sides. they'll break super easy.

75 - 100 in a carry-on? good luck. besides the fact i doubt that would fit, if anybody caught you on the weight you'd be super fucked. those overhead bins are only meant to carry about 150lbs total, and you'd be taking up about 100 of it right away.

That's what I figured... What's a good sturdy flight case besides the rimowa? You've had success boxing your records in sturdy cardboard boxes and checking them right? I may just do that

they just don't really make record boxes like they used to, to be honest. most are pretty damn cheap, but there's some good ones around. i recommend just going to a few stores and checking them out by hand - you can tell a whack one right away.

as for moving, yeah, i boxed up my records in some really proper moving boxes, but i doubled up the walls by cutting up a second box and filling the gaps in...which i'm glad i did. the boxes made it just fine, even with a connection at heathrow (which is a nightmare and a half), but they had a couple dings in them, along with a couple jabs from other luggage that, if i wouldn't have done two layers of cardboard, probably would have damaged some vinyl. just tape the living sh!t out of it, and do ALL the edges. i can show you some photos of how meticulous i was if you want.

any vinyl trolley's you suggest or may have tried different that the one you have around $150 range.. just curious... if you can post a link to magma trolly you currently have..
