DENIS YASHIN

Was born in the North, grew up in the South, lives in the West.

That was a long way from place to place, and from music to music. Various styles brought him within the last 9 years to modern techno and tech-house scene.

Being initially limited in sound hardware resources, he's got a unique ability to get a good sound out of whatever generally sounds: old slow computers, outdated samples that have been bought in a subway once, self-made Reaktor patches, environment sounds recorded on a camera microphone, etc. Nowadays, with all the possibilities of a professional soundstudio, that experience makes it a very special direction in producing tracks that still stay within the borders of genre but always contain a bit more than the genre itself brings.

Some of that sound from Denis Yashin has been recently released at Tongut, Eintakt, Team rec.

The technology is always based on history, and keeping that in mind, Denis Yashin takes the useful producing techniques from completely different backgrounds: the 60's funk, the 90's house and the 00's minimal-techno. He's also referring to this past knowledge while playing dj sets, taking at the same time a strict position in the world of deep techno and tech-house.
