Artist Biography
Argentinian born producer Leandro Pugilese (aka Lega, Hawaii, Plastic Vision) is gradually showing his true colors and preparing himself for a busy future in the field of minimal Techno after impressive releases on Kung Fu Dub, Intrinsic Design, Offside and SCSI-AV. After joining forces with Brian Aneurysm on the “Sucker Punch EP,” released last month on Immigrant, Lega is ready to release his debut solo Immigrant EP. A full length album is scheduled for release late in 2006 and will be showcased this June at the Immigrant Sonar event in Barcelona.
A1. “Don’t Shoot The Messenger”
Glitches and grooves across a bubbly landscape of percussive experimentation before dropping into a dreamy abyss of chimes and a funked up bass during the tracks main break. Post break and all hell breaks loose, tough edged meets relentless bass and abrasive pad programming.
B1. “Nutmeg”
Kicks off the flip side with a storming bass line and massive sub bass. The track meanders thru vocoded female vocal samples and arpeggiated pads before getting stripped naked to make way for a wave of analogue synth workout.
B2. “Ce Mortel Ennui”
Exposes Lega’s musical diversity by dropping a slamming acid tinged electro track. A massive dance floor EP and a pleasure to hear Immigrant moving into new minimal waters. Watch out for Lega’s remix of Robin Porter’s Immigrant favorite, “Fathernature” later this year.
