Saturday the 13th of May it’s time for another edition of Technootjes. With the smashing editions of this popular organisation, Technootjes built up a big reputation in the techno scene. Praised mostly for their lineup and atmosphere, this party attracts people from all over Holland and even beyond. Again the party organisation comes back to Simplon in Groningen with another strong lineup. In the main room there is only room for three international stars.
Coming over from Seattle, Bruno Pronsato (Steven Ford) is at the moment one of the most outstanding and promising artist in the minimal techno scene. Last year he was one of the highlights of the Mutek festival in Montreal and within a short period of time he developed into a highly respected producer. His productions on labels like Telegraph and Orac Records have an original and abstract character. With his live performance Pronsato’s music is more created for the dance-floor combining his abstract sound with a pounding drive and hypnotic tunes.
Before the live set of Bruno Pronsato, Konrad Black will open the party with a three hours set. Konrad Black is called by his colleagues as one of the best producers. Last year he had a smashing release with Madusa Smile (Don’t look back..) on the Wagon Repair label. Besides a very good producer Konrad is also a very good dj, he will proof that this evening.
To complete the lineup in the main room no other than Sammy Dee will close the party with also a three hours set. Sammy Dee is with his friend Zip also known as Pantytec but in Berlin he is also known as a very good dj. Because of his great dj skills he has residencies at clubs like Tresor, Ostgut and Robert Johnson.
Upstairs there will be a party as well. Technootjes resident K.Cee will celebrate his birthday by playing a 3 hours set. Also added to this birthday party is the new talent from Groningen Weider Terlouw. This young producer works al lot together with that other phenomenon from Groningen Motio & E-contact. Weider already has a contract with the Phonocult label and he will soon sign up with another international label.
The room upstairs will be opened by Rik, a good friend of the organisation. He already played at Technootjes but that was always at the after party where he played together with Miguel. This time he has the opportunity to play solo.
