i love resonator in ableton but actually i don t really which kind of stuff it should emulate (well certainly something called resonator hu ? )
If you could point me some of hardware stuff with this kind of sound, i will appreciate.
cheers !

Re: ableton's resonator in hardware ?
Sounds like a cheap vocoder to me… but I could be wrong.

It's a bank of very short delay lines with filters:

Don't know a similar product in hardware.

found some stuff about shermann filter or jomox resonator and some others guitar resonator. no idea if it could sound like the ableton one. i advise you to dig resonator if you think it s a cheap vocoder
Re: ableton's resonator in hardware ?
as far as i know, the jomox t-resonator is the closest hardware to the resonator of ableton

Re: ableton's resonator in hardware ?
if you got the doepfer route you'll want to use the non tapped version with the shortest number of stages possible. To get resonator style effects you will need more than one. You'll also need mixing and filtering.

i just bought t-resonator. Doepfer stuff looks too complex for me
will see the result with the jomox thing. I need some resonant filter on my bass
Also found something called Frostwave resonator, used by guitar players actually. Maybe it sounds good.
