loops/ bitches or saints?
Re: loops/ bitches or saints?
drum & bass has a kick on the 1 so you would listen to that also. i couldn't mix just listening to the snares, i feel you need to take everything into account especially with more brokenbeat stuff.
Re: loops/ bitches or saints?
whaaat???....now it's enough....how many Drum N Bass tunes do you know that you can judge that DnB tunes always have the kick on the 1?...it's just wrong...as if you would say all techno stuff got the clap on the 2 and 4....it's not true
the constant element in most dnb tunes is the snare so this is my main focus when mixing dnb...

Re: loops/ bitches or saints?
What about DnB where the snare doesn't fall on the 5 & 13? Like 5 and 11?
Anyway, I thought this was about using sampled loops, how did it get to this point?

read below mate... was that other fella, not you. the one who said he was ready in 10mins.
Re: loops/ bitches or saints?
Its true... i learned to match a beat in 10 minutes as well... doesn't mean much though... there is more to learn and a big one is speed, consistency and all the other sh!t that goes along with it to be a precision beatmatcher. the analogy about riding a bike is a good one.
