multitrack recording
are you saying ableton can't do multitrack recording? that would make it completely useless as a DAW.
ableton is perfectly able to do multitrack recordings. just right click on the record button, and select the multi track option.

btw, what's up with many of the big daws names? reason, logic, able-to-n, maybe creates an image of the program being easy to learn or something

Have to see how the built in synths and drum syths sound, the modular build your own synths & fx idea looks good. If it sounds good Ill be getting it for sure.

same here... if the overall sound quality of the synths etc. is good then it's a huge leap forward on ableton. let's hope it isn't spoiled by bugs in the first release...

Any word on the price range? I hope its reasonable or they undercut the competition to gain market share... hell I want it for the simple fact it runs on Linux. I hope people support it because success might encourage other software companies to bring their software to Linux.. cough, cough... Adobe, looking your way!

I wonder how Vst and AU compatibility will work out on Linux. Unfortunately, AU probably won't work cause I read that it relies on Apple's Cocoa.
