That was painful to watch. I don't get what's up with all the people on stage on all these videos I see. At our shows, if you're not playing or up next, you ain't on stage.

I always wonder about that too. I HATE it when there's people near my back when I'm DJ'ing, especially if they're talking. Makes it harder to mix. If I were a bigshot DJ I'd put "no irrelevant people in the booth" on my raider.

I think it's ridiculous to be honest and completely unnecessary. I'm sure it's nice for their ego though...

I agree, the energy is different. And at the end of the day people should see the dj have fun behind the decks.

I would suggest that it's more important to hear the DJ play good music and create good energy that way rather than see him mince around having fun with a bunch of groupies and hangers on. But I guess everyone is different.

yeah he would probably hate that too, if he had to mix anything. he syncs most of his sh!t up or loop it constantly, with that way of "DJing" i could talk to 10 people on stage
