Got this from Pheek and I guess they used some sort of algorythm to populate it.

SoundCloudWall publishes a playlist of the 100 most influential tracks on SoundCloud each month.

How does it work?

The tracks published on the wall are selected automatically using a ranking algorithm based on user influence.

How are tracks ranked?

The Wall uses a ranking algorithm that takes into account who created the track, who's commented on the track and who's favourited the track.

Most importantly SoundCloud is mined for the relationships between users, from this each user on SoundCloud can be assigned a 'UserRank', a measure of how influential that user is.

The more influential the users are that Create, Favourite or Comment on a track the higher it's ranking. This is unlike the traditional charts which are simply a measure of how many people like something.

The Wall is not about how many people like something, it's about who likes it.

Don't ask me any questions like why is Ame number one? I have no idea or why some artists have 0 tracks linked.

Seems like it's rather new, but gives a fun twist to soundcloud.

Thought it was pretty interesting tho and the random play feature is pretty cool if you select an artist from the top 100 list or the top tracks for the month.

I think it's that if an 'influential' artist make a comment on your track, or make the track favorite, you get more points for the ranking.

For exemple, Patrick is #280, if he comments on my tracks, I may be in the top 1000 next year
