Eventide Pedals Synth Massage

Post by Lindsay »

Hello People,

I was wondering if any producers here had experimented with using guitar pedals on both digital and analogue synths. In particular I am curious to hear stories from any Eventide stompbox users. Did you have any problems with signal levels, impedance, did the units broaden the scope of your sounds considerably?

Cheers

I hook up different kinds of delays and chourus pedals. I highly recommend getting some. It's like a modular except for effects! And then when u play your synths sound amazzzzing. :)

do it. just make sure to turn the signal down before you go into the pedal.

yeah people say about impedence matching and DI boxes, just make sure you make the signal smaller/quieter so you don't blow up the pedal, that's all I needed to do.

creatively speaking, go for it. A good pedal can be a nice way to get a bit of analogue life into your music.

anything with the word eventide on is well worth the money. i don't know much about their pedals but the rack effects are amazing.

Anyone used the Roland re-20? How does this compare with the pitch or timefactors?

its a cool pedal BUT i still prefer all my other delays to it... i'd even put the standard boss dd-6 above it. somehow it just sounds a bit off. :/ If your looking for a tape emulation delay go Strymon El Capistan.
