Hi Guys
I have NI's Traktor Scratch, Audio 8 Interface, 2 turntables, a mixer and a lot of good old vinyl from friends. But now I'm troubeling in sampling vinyl into Ableton with the Audio 8DJ.
Now I basically I have plugged the left turntable IN/OUT in Channel A and right turntable IN/OUT in Channel B as usual as I would dj. But in Ableton I can't choose from which channel I like to record. I create an audio track and choose audio from ext. input. It seems like there is some small input, but I can't hear anything.
I think I'm missing something and really hope somenbody can help me out here
Cheers
Sampling from vinyl w/ Audio 8DJ
Re: Sampling from vinyl w/ Audio 8DJ
In preferences > audio..... at the top there should be an inputs option, I think you need to highlight all the inputs/outputs that you want to make active.
If you are getting a weak signal, you might have to rewire your setup to; Turntable > Mixer > Audio 8 (from the main output of your mixer)
That way you have a gain stage before the audio 8.
You shouldn't have a weak signal tho, the audio 8 has got to recieve sufficiant signal for the timecode vinyl.
Hope this helps!
