board looks nice! congrats on the upgrade.

I would recommend that you work in admin panel in the category of 'threads, posts and reply' on the spam issue. The best is to make 'no permission' to open new thread for members less then 5 posts, that way you could avoid new bots with porn or other spam. With ip ban is a continuous hassle, dynamic ip's they change every time. (not sure if phpbb has a similar ipb system though, but I believe yes)

Yes I have thought about that and I will do it only for temporary,
because we just have to add extra spam software.
And I hope we will be able to fix this in a short time!

I dislike the limit it's currently using.
I would guess that would be an option somewhere in the setup/administration of phpbb.

I would have thought so. I wasn't able to find it in the older version, and after more than a few attempts, I wasn't able to find it this new version either..

is it correct understood, that search only returns the new threads/posts after the upgrade and not the old ones? Are you missing to reindex the database or something like that?

Yep, I've tried various searches now and it only returns new posts after the upgrade. I'm guessing it can be solved by a re-index in the database.
