London based Marc Ashken is someone you are going to be hearing a lot about in the coming year. With releases forthcoming on Safari Electronique as well as his full ep on Leftroom just around the corner, he is definitely one to watch. Luka and Lazo also do the business with their remix of Part Time Isolation on this Leftnet release, known as the Leftovers EP!!!
The opening track DoMeBadThings is a stripped down robotic affair, which is all about the bassline drop half way through. Don’t let the trippy vocal get the better of you. Next up is In Step, a drum driven track with ridiculous bass and a snare roll which will remind you of a specific DJ. We’ll let you decide… Knock Knock has been talked about for some time now due to its appearance at many dark and disturbing afterparties. The whispers get in your head and the whirling synth gets right under your skin. Last but not least is Luka and Lazo’s remix of Part Time Isolation which featured on Leftroom001. The track has their trademark choppy percussion and with smart use of the crowd noise from the original it puts a nice touch to an already popular track.
