FVF and Save You Records are delighted to present DIP with two very special guests - REBEKAH (FVF/Phobic) and the very first UK appearance of Croatia's MISS SUNSHINE (Monocline/FVF)
Yep we hand things over to the ladies this month for what will sure to be another cracking DIP.
REBEKAH
Rebekah’s love affair with electronic music began at the tender age of 16, going out and listening to legends such as Dave Clarke, Derrick Carter, Richie Hawtin and Billy Nasty at Birmingham’s legendary Que Club. This gave Rebekah her first taste into the world of deep house and techno.
Fifteen years on and Rebekah’s passion is still burning, she has been lucky enough to recently play at MOS, Fabric, Back to Basics, Public Life, Guendalina Italy, Coolhouse, Shindig, Awakenings and Exit to name a few. Her residency in Birmingham for the Eclectricity events has seen her play for Cocoon parties alongside Sven Vath, Dubfire, Loco Dice, Marco Carola and Luciano. Rebekah has also become a regular feature at Global Gathering warming up in the Circo Loco, Cocoon and M-nus Arenas consecutively, the latter being one of the standout sets of 2009 - 2011.
Things are already warming up for 2011 with dates lined up at Gatecrasher alongside Sasha, Silo alongside Phil Kieren & Tony Rohr, Public Life, The Russian, Exchange Club Ireland, and Cargo to name a few.
After completing a Music Production Diploma at Access to Music has seen Rebekah’s music grow from strength to strength recording on labels Smut, FVF, Zool Muzik, Cubism, Intuito, Phobic, CSGas and Lowroom as well as German labels Criminal and KarateKlub. As her productions have gained quality recognition from established DJ’s has not gone unnoticed as Rebekah has signed a release to Dubfire’s label Sci+Tec forthcoming in 2011.
It goes without saying that the future is bright and diary packed for this lady of techno and minimal and her peers are starting to take note and give her the respect she deserves…. Anyone that has seen her play out live knows first hand that there are no gimmicks or clichés about this DJ…. just unadulterated raw talent and a passion for underground house and techno.

MISS SUNSHINE
Miss Sunshine is a deity of techno that commands attention while performing and beyond doubt one of the biggest electronic music fans you will meet. Through her DJ sets or her productions on labels like Monocline, Lazerslut, FVF, Dual Musik, Eminor Rescue Mission or Schoene Musik, Miss Sunshine unifies perceptions of open minded people in her graceful sense for sounds and minimal tones, strengthened with solid tech grooves and the love of challenging music without boundaries.
As music is the soundtrack of her life, Miss Sunshine hit us in 2009 with her first solo release: Hush! EP on Monocline Rec. together with remix from Re:Axis, famous duo from Portugal. Ep charted by Tim Xavier in December; supported also by Miro Pajic, Billy Johnston, Patrick Bateman and charted high in the Beatport charts.
2010 was a busy year with the second solo Ep Sugar Drops, out on Dual Musik (home of the famous producers: Barem, D.Squillace, Easy Changes etc.) gained support from Heron, B. Johnston, Jan Hendez, and was described as outstanding cutting edge electronics, artfully reduced and pleasantly unhousey. (Jonas Reuther). Also big success was a rmx she did for the Re:Axis – “Everything that we knew” which hit again Beatport chart (highest rank, 20th place). The year continues with numerous releases and remixes on: Lazerslut, Monocline, Redukt, Wood n Bass, FVF, Eminor, Machine Box, Kopfmusic, Flat Belly, Schoene Music, Rationalism etc.
Until now she had a pleasure to play in: Colombia, Portugal, Czech Rep, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Macedonia, Kosovo, Romania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Slovenia, Serbia and Croatia. In search of new sounds and scenes, Sunshine continues her journey on and off the decks, always ready to perform in her unique style
