hi,
this is my first post. however i need to mention that im an avid poster within other forums. friends of mine from dubstepforum redirected me here and although its not exactly what i was looking for, im still happy ive found this forum as i listen to a considerable amount of minimal music (i mix it more often then anything else). my inquiry in this post is very precise, and i hope i wont sound too noobish, or trollish... i know dedicated musicians hate to see noobs pop out of the void and start threads asking to sound like such and such musician...
ive been producing for a while now. or at least trying.
lately ive been trying to incorporate sonic elements reminiscent to the older booty bass type music.. with a lot of bass but also with a very techy feel.
besides a few videos, namely the claude vonstroke producer masterclass thats online thanks to prplrhd... i didnt find any ressource aiming at that type of music...
im thinking von stroke, justin martin, or the deeper stuff like voodeux or even the older cybotronish classic material...
i know this is a minimal forum... and forgive me if i sound like pollution.. hope im not
im just seeking for people who are interested in that type of music... and who wish to share about it...
(im looking for a forum, or a thread about that typical sound, or for people who want to share about it by chatt, phone, smoke signs...)
good day !

I'm with Ldizzy on this one, CVS and the Dirtybird crew are producing some pretty cool bootybass/Ghetto-tech stuff. Whatever its called, it sounds good to me and it certainly has some Miami Bass/Electro Hip Hop roots in there, I might even say there are some Drum'n'Bass influences flying about in the mix.
Anyway, I'm interested in producing this sort of stuff and I've had a dabble at producing some too.

I think its quite difficult to pigeon hole the dirtybird sound as a genre. I personally think of it as the Dirtybird sound and as I said in the my previous post, there are allot of influences in there.... But I got what Ldizzy was saying though even if his description may or may not be correct.
