kick-ins in ableton

Post by plaster »

i'm having problems with the first kick-in in ableton when i try to render a loop or a track. like, whenever i do that, the first kick is largely distorted from the other parts of the track. does anyone know what might be the problem to that and maybe how to solve it?

fade in envelope doesn't help much...:(

hmm i have this problem often in cubase too ;)

how i get around this:
when you have a 4bar loop
try exporting the loop from 5-9 instead of 1-5
so if you're exporting a track.. just leave the first 4 bars blank and start at 5

experienced that a lot of sequencers have problems on the first bar
or is it the same then?

i tried that, but it's the same... i'm not using any distortion units or anything which could trigger the signal so much.

according to the fact that i found quite a number of entries regarding the problem on the ableton forum, even down to version 2 without any public response from ableton or a fix i come to the conclusion that this may be part of some kinda copy protection scheme ?

i remember people ranting about logic audio squirks that only occured in *cough* "free" versions. since i have no idea about the legal situations of users posting such problems it is of course a vague assumption but i currently don't have a much more plausible explanation since usually ableton do something about their bugs.

just an idea tho.
