I know a lot of it is pretty sh!t but there are times when I like to listen to ambient albums, so can people recommend some good ones?
Stuff along the lines of Kompakt's Pop Ambient series, accessible and quite floaty but with enough to keep me interested... I don't want drone or noise either and nothing depressing.
Thanks.

all albums by GAS (wolfgang voigt)
and Robert Henke's Floating.Point (I don't think anything has managed to create this perfect "ambient" or "scape" inside my head/mind as of yet)
can't get more ambient than this imo
and Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works II (me thinks the 1. is way weaker ambient-wise...)
