The third installment of DIP comes to us after the first two heady parties in The Russian Bar with Anthea & Marc Ashken and Till Von Sein respectively. This time around FVF Records and Save You Records bring you one of their all-time favourite artists, someone moving in a distinctly vertical and bumping fashion, Ryan Crosson of Wolf and Lamb, M_nus and Visionquest fame!
Ryan Crosson
Born and raised in Metro Detroit, Ryan focused his attention on percussive programming, dubby basslines, and dark atmospheres. By expressing a tireless work ethic in the studio, Ryan was soon noticed for his efforts by local Detroit label, Beretta Music. Not long after this Ryan moved onto Trapez and other labels like Supplement Facts, Wagon Repair, Spectral and Richie Hawtin’s infamous M_nus.
Now Ryan has embarked on a fresh new venture with close friends and luminaries Seth Troxler, Lee Curtiss and Shaun Reeves, under the guise of Visionquest. Last year Visionquest's remix of 'Good Voodoo' on Ellen Allien’s BPitch Control was a massive underground smash. January 2011 will see them launch their own Visionquest label. Ryan's and Visionquest's schedule takes them far and wide to the world’s best clubs including Fabric, Watergate and Cocoon. Their Visionquest party at this year’s Detroit Electronic Music Festival was one of the highlights of the event, and their appearance at DC-10 at the end of this summer was off the hook
