Five years ago, Tikiman (aka Paul St. Hilaire) and Scion played a legendary concert in Café Belga. And now they're back!
Paul St. Hilaire aka Tikiman is a reggae vocalist from the island of Dominica in the Caribbean. In 1995 he began collaborating with Rhythm & Sound who produced a series of releases featuring his vocals on their own Burial Mix label that have inspired listeners and other producers ever since. He had numerous guest appearances on electronic releases by Stereotyp, The Bug, Deadbeat, Mikkel Metal, Beat Pharmacy, Modeselektor and others. He is doing live shows with Moritz von Oswald / Rhythm & Sound, Mark Ernestus / Rhythm & Sound, Scion, The Bug, Deadbeat, in Europe, the U.S., Canada, the Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and China. Since 2003 he has produced two solo albums for his own label False Tuned.
Scion is the project of techno producers DJ Pete (aka Substance) and Vainqueur. Their record 'Emerge' blasted the now legendary Chain Reaction Label into life in 1995. Since then they have released on their Scion Versions label and have been responsible for the acclaimed 'Arrange and Process Basic Channel Tracks' on Tresor.
