i think you can get to a point where you feel like that answer to 'whats the best daw' ... that learning the stuff you have inside out is the best thing to do.

Having killer deep machines helps feel like that though. I have a friend wih a studio full of amazing gear. Rhodes, pianos, loads of amazing synths, but I think he only really uses his Moog Voyager.

Current gear lust is 300 series Wiard Wogglebug. Currently somewhere across the atlantic on it's way to me. hooray!

It only gets worse. I should have stayed in the box. :D

I want so much I don't want to go through the pain of typing it all out.

I did just get a drum set, which isn't "gear" necessarily, but something I've wanted for a while.

only thing I really want right now is an outboard filter like the Moogerfooger 101. not because I necessarily want a Moog sound but because I hate click/dragging with the mouse to filter.

Moog overdrive would be the icing. :D

It never stops, but I am in quite a sweet spot, really. I can do most of what I want and the desire for new gear has slowed down quite a bit.

1) Traktor Scratch Duo (half price promotion atm)
2) Machinedrum SPS1-UW
3) Monitors (Mackie?)

Don't know how I'll get the money together for a MD though
