anyone got one ? (and previously had a mbase 01 to compare)
i'm curious to know whether it can be tuned accurately with the analogue pot, or if it is still stepped like the mbase 01.
is the digital encoder still a two-step incremental affair like the annoying one on the mbase 01 ?
is there anyway to step through programs without using the encoder ? (or midi)
this was one of the worst features of the 01 for live performance.
thanks in advance
mbase 11
have you looked at the Vermona kick lancet? it's got a better user interface with pots for accurate tuning. you can also trigger it with the gate input or using audio signals so it plays nice with your modular.

you can play it chromatically via midi, but when i trigger it from my modular i have to use the damned encoder to tune it, so its tuned digitally, completely defeating the object of an analogue drum synth, the increments are totally random, i spent a few hours going through every increment and writing down the frequencies, and they are all over the place, and rarely exactly on a chromatic note, they dont even go up in regular amounts.AK wrote:I've been looking at this as a potential purchase, I can't answer your questions but when you say the 01 was 'step tuned', what do you mean by that, is it tuned chromatically in steps or not at all?
(for instance theres about 4 frequencies within the area of G#, but only 1 in F)
looks interesting, be nice if they did it in eurorack form.tone-def wrote:have you looked at the Vermona kick lancet? it's got a better user interface with pots for accurate tuning. you can also trigger it with the gate input or using audio signals so it plays nice with your modular.

anyone heard one ?
something like this is in the work for the Mono Lancet, so i can only suppose the same is being done for the kick lancet...
The Modular Dock is the connection between the Mono Lancet and your modular system. It can be your start into the modular world as well as a great expansion for the modules you already have.
audio output per VCO
CV input for frequency- and pulsewidth-modulation with attenuator per VCO
filter input
CV input with attenuator for VCF and VCA
CV/Gate output (1V/octave – use the Mono Lancet as MIDI-to-CV converter)
3U eurorack module, 22HP
