Hey everyone,
I'm new to this forum and just wanted to introduce myself. Matt (infernal.techno) turned me on to this board and I have been browsing around and am very much enjoying what is going on here. I really like minimal techno, and as cliche as it might sound, I would say my favorite DJ is Richie Hawtin. I also love most of the m-nus label artists, especially Houle, JPLS, and Ambivalent. That being said, my main interest in this type of music as both a DJ and a music lover stems from my desire to engage with tracks that are different, and don't just sound like everything else.
Anyway, outside of music I am currently studying social developmental cognition at Emory U in Atlanta, GA (US). More specifically, I am using an eye-tracking machine to find developmental trends in eye gazing in various social conditions in humans. I also paint on the side.
