even in a general techno "community" ive read, heard, received sarcasm and slander regarding minimal/micro music. much from hardware purists, banging techno and detroit enthusiasts. ive heard our music refered to as pretentious, wine and cheese, boring, fashionable etc. seems that many of the same people who disregard our sound also criticize production techniques and technology. has anyone come across this on other message boards or conversation?

yup...a lot i must add!

it's odd how we percieve minimal music so energetic, yet other listeners seem to find it weak.

still...i found that techno artists and dj's are pretentious as fck in every way.

I've never seen him, but I've heard that he has a huge ego and an unusual skill for emptying a dancefloor....

From the interviews ive seen of Derrick he can be rather pompous and arrogant...but id still like to sit down and have a drink with him.

As far as the haters...well they are everywhere...you simply cannot satisfy everyone..so i say whatever...opinions are like assholes, everyones got one.
