I think this is the point with the good/evil quote though... without the framework for the 'evil' people to operate within they'd just be 'evil' people and not able to hold as much sway over the 'good'...Rich wrote:To be honest, I think most people fail to separate human nature from religion. I don't think you can separate human nature from religion, in fact if you look at Freud he came up with the theory that the 'God' concept is a manifestation of the idealised father figure, benign, supporting, protecting and compassionate... hell, all the holy books were written by people so it'd be a great surprise if it wasn't influenced by the society of the time... I think perhaps religion is like an outward manifestation of philosophy and psychology...
