hey ghoti...

i like the vocal thing...im curious as what you use to make it....

i cant say this is very danceable, but then again...sometimes ill catch myself playing the most undanceable sh!t ive ever heard....so its all in the setting i suppose....

im not sure where you are in your goals as far as production, but it sounds to me your somewhere on the right track

It's just Ableton Live. I lifted a sample of some laughter from some podcast, stretched it, reversed portions, moved warp markers around, transposed, etc.

No, not for dancing :) -- I was going for mechanical, but with dance music sounds. I had a strong urge to throw hats on the ups, but when I tried that it just sounded like the robot suddenly his funk on.

I actually have a track with similar textures that is more of a 4-on-the-floor, up-down, claps on 2 and 4 kind of thing that I made last week. It actually features the same laugh sample. I will post it...
