‘A Pearance’ is the new release from the superhero clone that is Clone Kent, on Redukt whose offices are located in the hub of modern Istanbul.
Turkish born Kaan Turkyilmaz first launched his Clone Kent project in 2008. With a passion for music, Kaan draws inspiration from past electronic influences as well as his own musical journey which saw him experimenting with tools like Jupiter-8 and CR-78 as a young boy, mastering instruments like the piano and trumpet, and even his study of Mechanical Engineering which had a great impact on his perception of dance music, especially techno.
‘A Pearance’ has all the traits of his musical experience. The original mix has a deep bassline flowing under an enigmatic melody, while subtle sparkles shine over dizzy pads, and the groove kicks in with a prominent edge.
'A Pearance’ is also dissociated into reflections by three remarkable remixes. Badme aka Tugce Yazici and founder of the Redukt label provides a shimmering version that takes full advantage of the squelchy bassline antics. The Balkan beats of Miss Sunshine are next to step up, with effective vocal additions and wailing horns. While American born, but Portugal based Over8 (Bruno Pereira), zips up the package with his toughened rendition.

Comments: Loving the original. Really like the deep isolated sounds, sparse and mind bending. The Badme Remix has a cool little clashed beat and wonderful acid sound. Don’t dig the Miss Sunshine remix as much as others, but it’s good. And the Over8 remix is good too but the original or Badme mixes do it for me. I will support (play and chart). Cheers
