Serif Records' third release comes from German duo Dualton. Their extensive back catalogue has seen them release on labels such as Steve Lawler's ViVA Music, Global Underground, weplayminimal and Peep Show. On the flip side, Canadian-based duo Strict Border turn in the remix. Strict Border have produced original tracks and remixes on labels such as ViVA, Noir Music, Plastic City, and Kling Klong to name a few. We're proud to welcome both of these superb artists to the Serif family.
- First up is the original that is a driving production utilising strong percussion grooves with horn and flute samples being cleverly automated to add dynamic flow to the piece. A ranting preacher raises the intensity at the breakdowns which is sure to work wonders on the dancefloor, before dropping a thundering bass thump to get bodies moving!
- Strict Border's mix takes things deeper, with a groovier take more suitable for the earlier hours. Layers of percussion are underpinned by a powerful bass riff which drives the track along. Dubby synth stabs add movement and vibe with interesting melodies and automation. Vocal snippets is used along the main sections before the full vocal emerges before the drop which seems to come out of nowhere!
