Ableton 8.1.1 crashing 100% of the time osx

hey guys... i'm running ableton 8.1.1 + 10.6.1 +mbp2.8unibody. Is anybody else having serious problems? the program explodes at least every 3 minutes. I've tried the betas and it doesn't seem to help. I simply can't finish music in this configuration.

3 things i'm considering right now.

1. Bootcamp running XP on the mac. Is anybody doing this? just curious how well it works.
2. Buy a desktop pc 4 studio use.
3. Stop writing music until ableton/apple fixes this mess.

What does Ableton say to your support case on this problem?

use logic or reason until they sort that sh!t out! i can't imagine it will take too long.

listen to the obtane mix.. helped me a lot

and actually a lot of my friends encounter problems too!
support is not going to help much I think.. and the fact that they put 2-3 update beta versions out in a month tells me that they're not really having an idea where it comes from!
