Stumbled upon this while browsing for something else. Thought it might be of some interest for musicians and music lovers. MAybe a step in the right direction ?

maybe, maybe not...
I mean, there has to be MANY users before it really generates more then just a few cents, but of course, it's a tiny bit easier than a paypal donate button...

In theory yes. But prolly wont work, the paypal donate buttons certianly don't afaik.

i like the idea,
im sure what they left out is that they must take a slice of the cake too -- but these things cost money to set up and maintain - nothing wrong with that - i would support this - will google and get more info when i shouldnt be sleeping...

Beat me to it, was just about to post something about this.

Will be interesting to see if it actually takes off, there have been other similiar ideas that never went anywhere.
