iPhone music apps

Post by Alex M »

Hey,

Just got an iPhone yesterday and want to get some fun apps for making music.

At the moment I have NLog free synth and Tonepad.
Was thinking of getting the 808 or 909 drum machine apps but the reviews are not too good. Has anyone tried them?

Anyone got anything interesting to share?
Would love a drum machine that actually works fine.

i had "technoBox" on my phone for a while, which is a 303, 808, 909 simulator, and it was remarkably good. the only gripe was you couldn't use both the 808 and 909's at the same time - it simply switches between the two over top of the 303.

supposedly "beatmaker" is worth the 20$. apparently its a pocket ableton, and is quite impressive.

but honestly? its a phone. you own a computer for a reason.

Theres also this thing that I saw on Sonic State

They Say:
This application is not a toy, it's a completely new way to create stunning DJ mixes whenever you like. You can touch and feel your tracks, move around them, scratch them, EQ them, loop them, pinch them, and mix them without cueing - only by visual control.

According to Amidio, "Touch DJ is able to replace hardware worth at least $1000."
