[UK[ Future Flash presents Zombie SoundSystem

Post by zombielover »

This month, having joined forces with Shane Watcha’s Zombie Soundsystem, we’ve decided to dip once more into the Hamburg city's outrageously fertile pot of house talent to find a headliner able enough to keep our very own dance floor dynamo

Future Flash presents Zombie Soundsystem
Saturday 19th September
11pm – 8am

Room 1

Stimming
Shane Watcha
Nima Gorji
Dave Congreve

Room 2

Maurice Fulton
Matt Waites
Sean Johnston

In The Bar

Landed DJs

Hailing from one of the undisputed labels of 08 & 09 – Diynamic – Stimming has carved out one of the most distinctive niches in dance music - largely thanks to his brilliantly unique take on modern day house. His sets harbour a rich musicality and sense of decadence, and are always rife with organic instrumentation, lending his sound a real warmth and complexity - most notable is his very particular and intriguing use of percussion. But as elegant as his music may be, he never forsakes the bigger picture. An innate understanding of what makes the dance floor tick, makes him a hugely dynamic live act and not only one of the most individual, but one of the most complete electronic producers in the business.

Joining Stimming on the night is Zombies Ate My Brain creator and curator Shane Watcha, who has played alongside an astounding roll call of international DJs, both at his own parties and as a guest on the international circuit - testament to his unrivalled versatility and ability to deliver time and time again. Our ultimate guest Nima Gorji meanwhile, is a key tastemaker in the en vogue land of loop-based house. Releasing on stellar imprints like ‘Love Letters from Oslo’ and Geddes’ head turning newbie ‘Murmur’ – his name is now being uttered in the same breath as the Manheim maestros - certainly indicative of things to come.

If you’re after something a little more eclectic then best set up shop in Room 2, as joining our very own Matt Waites and Sean Johnston is the legendary Maurice Fulton. Often plonked somewhat carelessly into the disco bracket, Maurice is, in all honesty, nigh on impossible to categorise. Sure he likes his slo-mo grooves, psychedelic twists and balearic atmospherics, but the man’s just as likely to floor you with old skool house; deep, spacey techno and pure, unadulterated funk. Couple this fiery sonic concoction with a wonderfully eccentric approach to programming, seguing and crowd-pleasing and you have one of the most individual and intoxicating DJ around. Pure enigma this man – we can’t wait.

And if all that wasn’t enough, we're also joined in the bar by the LANDED DJs, Jon Reynolds, Nathan Kyle, Jobody & Youandeuan. Don't miss it ...
