Get Ableton, do all the tutorials then, you are a producer.

well this was sooo cool! interesting to hear he uses a real actual bass in a lot of his songs (the bassline question was my only question).
being new to producing, im always asking myself why dont people just use a real recorded live instrument for some parts, so now i am inspired to just do that instead of wasting so much time fiddling with synths to replicate a sound.

decent microphones cost a lot of money and to a lot of electronic musicians find it harder to get a decent sound from recording live instruments.stevësto wrote: being new to producing, im always asking myself why dont people just use a real recorded live instrument for some parts, so now i am inspired to just do that instead of wasting so much time fiddling with synths to replicate a sound.
if you gat the choice of mic, mic position, room, quality of instrument, quality of player wrong and it can sound sh!t.

When will you release your track "Salamandarin"?
I just finished polishing a bunch of tracks up for a small release including Salamandarin so probably very soon - that plus the London Contakt show is why these questions took so long - sorry.
