[LickMyDeck006] - Ion Ludwig - Clair Obscur EP

Post by Shaun Soomro »

Latest release on LMD comes from a new signing Ion Ludwig aka koos Ludwig. The Clair Obscur EP opens up with Late Bed, lush sensual sounds & magical piano rifts keep drifting in & out making the track feel like it is alive calling you to come and play. Lakes Loosh is deeper with hypnotic cords and a beautiful Occordion hook. The whole EP feels playable on or off the dancefloor giving it both a limitless & timeless feel.

A1) Late Bed
B1) Lakes Loosh

Cat No: LMD006

imho both snippets sound nice, but not as unique as his "q of munich" ep which was really different to what was out there at that time.
should be good warmup or afterhour dancefloor fodder for the next four weeks or so.

Koos is def one of the new generation of producers that is consistently making stand out material.

I agree that q of munich was ace but I don't agree with as unique, Ion's sound is very different from all the recycled releases that are coming out nowadays from copycat producers..
