I've been putting my gear together for the last couple month's, finally need to buy a laptop for live production sets.
I'm using ableton, and a variety of midi controllers / synth's.
Do you suggest I spend the extra money and get the mac book pro, or should I get a pc, save the money, and invest in more equipment.
Thank you all in advance for the time.

I have both and love them for different reasons. It's really hard to decide which one is "best" but as someone said, I think it's really harsh to say that Mac is really better than PC.
I do prefer my MAC but for its stability and mainly for the OSX environmental zen feel. It almost makes me enjoy running my label again.
If you're new to live sets and all this world, I'd say, go with PC and yes, buy some gear (especially if you have none at the moment). In 2-3 years, if you get gigs and have all the toys you need, then perhaps get a mac. But who knows what will be out there by then![Idea ](./images/smilies/icon_idea.gif)
