Laptops;Sampler etc.

Post by hNRk »

Hi there!

I am intendening to buy me a laptop but i am not sure which one would be the best for my purpose...
The main reason why i am interested in buying a laptop is the production of music.... and the sampling thing while djing ( like ableton or something)
further more... the price should be payable ;)
may be some of you have some nice tips, advices etc..
Perhaps anybody here with a good hint on software sampling tools except of ableton?

So far... henrík

software sampling tools? motu mach 5 is a nice piece of a software sampler...

and for the laptop, I'd recommend AtomChip®SG220-2

Processor: 6.8GHZ CPU (AtomChip® Quantum® II processor / System Compliance: Two Operating Systems with Voice Command (Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional and Linux®) / PROMT-Translator (8 languages) / /Memory: 256GB/512GB/1TB Quantum-Optical non-volatile RAM & Storage(NvIOpSRAM-SODIMM 200-pin) / Storage: 1TB/2TB non-volatile Quantum RAM/Storage (NvIOpRAM-ATA IDE) :P
Image we are all atomic and subatomic particles and we are all wireless...

  But does it meet Longhorn minimum requirements?

Very cool thanks for the link.

I like this laptop from Acer: http://global.acer.com/products/notebook/fr4000.htm
Great features (firewire) and specs at a reasonable price.

Native Instruments Kontakt 2 also seems to be a good software sampler.
