Guy Blanken AKA Makam comes to us from The Hague in the Netherlands, he is producing some of the freshest house sounds of the moment and is a real hidden talent (for now).
On the A side of this record we have a real builder of a tune, starting of with the stripped down essentials of the track, things move and develop on and just as you wonder where this track is going, Makam pulls the rug from under your feet and you are left with your head spinning on the dance floor. The tune has a real disco pedigree and a huge sound. It's a real monster of a track!
On the B side we find New York G, this is a hugely playable tune for any house DJ. It holds some real rhythmically hypnotic grooves and has that big room sound! you can only understand how huge this track is when you listen to it on good sound system. this bass can shake you bones!
Last on this outing we have Dreaming Away. This is a slower jam at 114bpm and is full of soul that enters deep in to the heart. Tune that gives big stamp on the wax.
